I Think I Peed A Little

It’s hot & I’m super tired from cleaning. We’ve been doing some more work on our house and it’s just beating me down. Nothing like saying “I’m gonna go clean the bedroom… just as soon as I find the shovel and get the wheelbarrow in the house.”
So I’m gonna be lazy today and just give ya’ll a video to watch. I’ve mentioned before my love for Craig Ferguson. But last night…. oh man…. last night he had the absolute most hilarious interview ever. This was even better than the one with Denis Leary. I laughed so hard that I had to find the video today so that I could watch it again. I missed 1/2 of it because I was laughing too loudly to hear. And I think I may’ve peed a little.
So hear it is… Sandra Bullock & Craig Ferguson and the funniest thing I’ve seen on TV in the longest time!!
The Day I Became A Trash Picker

We went to town yesterday & took Luigi to have his blood drawn. The results weren’t good. His platelets dropped down to 60k. The nurse from Riley said it’s okay and he’s still on track… but.. it still worries me. I hope she’s right and the next count, in 2 weeks, will be up again.
On the way to the hospital, we drove past this pile of garbage. I couldn’t believe what I saw. At first, it seriously shocked me. The shock only lasted for a matter of seconds but… it was still shocking.
Once we got to the hospital, I realized I should’ve stopped and picked it up and I had probably missed my chance. We tried to hurry & get everything taken care of. Thankfully, the whole process never takes more than 15 minutes.
Luigi, Boogie & I jumped back into the hearse and raced off to the trash pile. And wouldn’t you know it… we got stuck by a stupid train. That thing had to be 200 miles long and moving at a rate of 3 miles an hour.
Luigi kept saying “We’re not gonna make it!! Someone else is gonna get it!! Stupid train!!” The only response I could come up with was “I know I know!! Come on you stupid train!!”
The train finally passed and we drove 3 or 4 blocks and CRAAAAP!!! The garbage truck was RIGHT THERE!! He was at the house right next door and I was like NO NO NO!! I hurried and pulled into the parking lot beside the trash pile, slammed the car into park, turned it off and jumped out, almost killing myself with my seatbelt. “Hey dummy.. You gotta take the seatbelt off in order to get out.”
I ran up to the garbage pile and grabbed my new prize. This sucker’s going in the back of my hearse for all the window peepers. =D I may make him body, put a blindfold on him and tie him up. Bahahaaaa
Wow!! No Way!!

As many of you already know, I drive a hearse. For those of you who didn’t know… Hey, guess what. I drive a hearse. =D
Today, I took a trip to Walmart to stock up on groceries. Apparently there’s some law that says you gotta feed your kids every day or something like that. Plus, I was out of chocolate. So this trip was definitely more business than pleasure, as most of my Walmart trips are.
Speaking of Walmart & grocery shopping, I forgot to call the store and complain today. I’m so sick of them not stocking Cherry Coke in cases. A case is $6 and a 12-pack is $5. Come on people. Either sell cases or change the price of a 12-pack.
BTW, I know why they don’t have cases. It’s because if you put a case of Coke on the belt and a case of Cherry Coke on the belt, the cashiers give you dirty looks and say “I only need 1 case if it’s from the same company.” So you put your Cherry Coke back and they ring up regular Coke x 3 and then their counts are off and they think no one drinks it, so they don’t order more. *ahem* Morons….
So anyways…. back to what I was saying…. I went to Walmart and when I came out and started walking towards my car, I was stopped dead in my tracks. I looked at my hearse and said “You gotta be kidding me! Look at this crap!! No freakin way!!!”
And yes…. I spoke those words aloud. As did many of the other people who got out of their cars and looked in the direction of mine. Why?? Here.. I’ll show you…
Yes!!! Parked right next to my hearse…. was another hearse!!! Tell me that’s not just awesome!!
So I quickly pushed my cart over to my car and ran around it and started peeking in the windows. As a fellow hearse owner, I felt it was my right to do so. =D
I headed back over to my car and started throwing my groceries in. I was in a hurry because I wanted to make sure I could take pictures before the owner came out and left. I figured whoever owned it wouldn’t mind me taking pictures. I mean, he obviously parked beside me for a reason. I know I would’ve parked next to him!! I’m sure he would’ve hung around and allowed me the opportunity, but I wanted to be 100% sure I got my chance.
As I was heaving everything into my car, I noticed a man walking out of the store. Just looking at him I thought “Oh, this is the owner. It’s gotta be.” He reminded me a little of Rob Zombie to be quite honest.
As he got closer and closer, his smile grew wider and I was sure he was the owner. He shook my hand and introduced himself and from then on I felt like I’d known him all of my life. He told me about his wife and invited me and my family to his house to check out his other cars and his Harleys. I have a HUGE thing for Harleys. I even have a dog named Harley. =D I was totally stoked! He even invited us to a cookout.
He told me a little about his car and explained the hit & run accident that caused the dent in the backdoor but I was too busy staring at the skulls to even notice the dent.
Then he offered to open the backdoor so I could take a picture of his coffin. At that point I had to confess that I knew it was back there because I had to peek inside. LOL
I asked him if he rollers still work and he said yes, they do. I asked if he has problems with cases of Coke flying to the back of the car. He said yes, he does. LMBO!!!
We exchanged phone numbers and he headed back inside to find his wife. I headed off across the parking lot to take another picture.
** You can ignore this part. I’m putting a couple keywords here so that if the owner or anyone who knows the owner ever decides to search for me or a post like this… it’ll be easy to find me. 1990 hearse Rantoul Wrong-Way Walmart. If you know the owner or if you ARE the owner, feel free (please!!) to leave a comment or contact me via email. I’m chris [at] textimps [dot] com
Tell Me Your Story

Ok — really you don’t need to tell ME your story… but I have 2 fun things ya’ll can participate in.
I’m like…half asleep and tired so I’m just going to link you to their pages so I don’t screw up the details. =D
From Petra — Calling All Parents Who Have Had to Tell Their Children That Mommy and Daddy Were Just “Wrestling” I think that title is pretty self explanatory. LOL Petra says you’ll remain anonymous but that doesn’t mean you can’t come and let me know that one of the stories she mentions is yours. *wink wink*
And from Mr Witty — You Write The Story You should also take the time to read The Story. It’ll help you understand what Mr Witty is asking for and it’ll give you a great laugh. It was previously entitled The Greatest Story Ever Written. I’m not sure why he changed he. He should’ve just left it alone. LOL
**Edited to add — I’m such a dork!!! I told you I was tired!!! I COMPLETELY forgot to tell you that Crazy Rebecca’s grandbaby was finally born last night. What the heck is wrong with me???
Head over to her blog too please and congratulate her on her new grandbaby, Sadie Jane.
My Beautiful Gift - A Mother’s Quilt

With everything that’s going on around here, I completely forgot to blog yesterday. Shame on me!!
My friend from Colorado is here in “town” because her daughter is about to give birth. No word as of yet if the baby’s been born or not.
She mailed a box ahead of time with gifts for her friends and family. Normally she would just carry them on the train, but she said something about getting old and blah blah… (Ha Ha Becky… you know I love you. *giggles*)
But anyways, I was one of the lucky ones who received a gift from the lovely and talented Crazy Rebecca. When I took Luigi to get his blood test done on Tuesday, I stopped by to see her. And she gave me this…..

It’s a mother’s quilt and each of those squares represents one of my children. There are 2 squares for December, 2 for August and then my little oddball in November. Isn’t it perty? By the way, you can click on it to see it in more detail. It’s meant to hang on the wall and it’s almost as tall as my fridge and… I just love it.
Here’s another that she brought. This one was made for my mom. The top square represents yours truly *smiles* and the other 3 squares are my younger brothers.

My favorite part of these (other than the fact that they represent my family & the fact that my dear friend made them) is how each square is completely different. Even the fabrics within each square is different. Not only visually, but the fabric textures too. They’re just… I love ‘em. LOL
Becky sells these on her Etsy site. I know she puts her heart into everything she makes, but tell her Chris sent you and I’m sure she’ll put an extra bucket of love in it. =D
She’s not home now, as I said at the beginning of the post. But she’ll be back and ready for orders in a couple of weeks. You can use this link to request special orders like the mother’s quilt.
And you know you need a one of a kind doofy hat….

A Decent Day

First of all - new platelet count is 67,000. Yippee. Up 17k from last week. And the mean lady was not there today. The nice lady was there. I told her what happened last week and she, lied the guy that works there, was all “Omigosh!!” at the size of the needle that woman used. The more I think about it, the more I want to go to her superiors. I really should.. shouldn’t I? The one time they don’t sent out a survey, I would actually like to get one and tell them what a crap job they did.
Anyways…….. I got to see my good friend Becky today. She’s down here from Colorado. Her daughter is pregnant and due tomorrow so she came down for the birth. I can’t wait to show you guys what she brought me. It’s so neat!! And she made it herself.
My plants finally came today. I bought a banana tree, some indoor tomato plants that are suppose to produce all year and some strawberry plants. I was a little upset when I realized it was going to be 3 years before I might possibly get a banana from the tree. I mean, I can kill a plant by looking at it. LOL Luigi said “That’ll be dead in 3 months.” I may’ve been offended if it weren’t true.
Do any of you watch Craig Ferguson? I love that guy! He’s just hysterical. Did anyone see Tuesday night’s episode with Denis Leary? Oh man… just hilarious!!
Let’s see… what else….???
OH!!! Thank you to all of you who went and voted for my themes. =D I really appreciate it. This is gonna be a long 2 weeks waiting for the results.
I think that’s all for now. =D See ya’ll tomorrow when I have pictures of my gift from Becky. Can’t wait Cant wait! =D
Oh wait… Hahaaa.. I forgot to tell you that I’m feeling better and The Ol’ Man can finally walk again. Yippee
How Was My Weekend?

Wow. Thanks for asking. That’s so nice of you. =D
Well, to start things off, I had surgery on Thursday. Nothing major. Just had my tubes tied. Five kids is enough I figure. Right? Tell me I’m right and not going to regret this and will eventually stop crying everytime I see my fat belly and realize it’ll never be fat again because there’s a baby growing in it. *sigh*
So I spent the weekend trying to recouperate. The Ol’ Man did a great job taking care of the kids and the house on Thursday but come Friday… he was back to work on the roof. Mama was left to pick up the 300 pound 6 month old when she cried. Then mama cried.
THEN!! hubby cried… He pulled his back during a coughing fit while he was on the roof.
Wait… backup… rewind… Did I tell you guys that hubby ripped the roof off of my house? And then it rained? And then he put some black paper on it? And then it rained? And then he put some shingles on? And then it rained? Bahahaaa I have the worst luck ever. No really! Check out this screen shot from weather.com Care to guess where I live based on the fact that I had no roof during this particular time….

So anyways… Hubby was on the roof and had a severe coughing fit and pulled the muscle across the middle of his back. He can barely move. It’s so bad that last night, he refused to go to the bathroom for fear of getting stuck in there. LOL That’s bad!!!
So anyways… The ol’ man and I spent the weekend walking around the house at the pace of two 90 year olds. Both moaning and groaning the entire time. It was pitiful.
The good news is, I can still sit on my butt here at my desk and not be in pain. Yay for that at least.
Also, this weekend, I released my very first free theme for download. Actually, I released 2 of them. Yippee for me! =D
I submitted them to a contest that’s being held at Free BuddyPress Themes. BuddyPress is a plugin that’s specifically for WordPress Multi-User. It’s actually the plugin that I’m using while creating the social network for parents that I’ve told you all about. (Yes, I’m still working on it whenever I get a spare moment)
But anyways… I released my themes and submitted them to a contest and it would be super awesome if ya’ll could go vote for one of my themes. If I win, I’ll get a free WPMU Premium membership, valued at $250. Yippee again. That’ll totally rock because they have plugins that I’d love to implement into the new social site.
My themes are the TEB themes. TEB is The Easy Button, another of my sites. Personally, I’m kinda partial to the purple theme. Something about it is just kickin. LOL
Ok… so anyways… I’ve jabbered long enough for today. I’ll be posting again either tomorrow or Wednesday, when we get the results of Luigi’s blood test he’ll have done tomorrow. And don’t worry. I plan on going later in the day so we don’t have to deal with the same bull we dealt with last week. What a crock that was!!!
